Ruckify Brand Ambassadors are the face of the Ruckify brand and are our product ambassadors. The purpose of their job is to support our product awareness initiatives while educating consumers about the Ruckify brand and how to use the mobile app. They are the eyes and ears on the ground that listen to how consumers perceive our brand and our product, sharing this useful insight with the broader business to support future ideas and opportunities. They are an instrumental part of the organization also supporting other marketing & sales functions in order to realize the full potential of each marketing campaign.

BE THE FACE OF THE BRAND

  • Target new and infrequent consumers through charming and light-hearted interactions.
  • Be engaging and drive awareness at events, trade shows, and ad hoc campaigns.

BE THE PRODUCT & BRAND EXPERT

  • Understand the Ruckify brand, any active campaigns, our initiatives and how to use the platform.
  • Confidently and reactively answer any product or brand questions and concerns from consumers.
  • Track consumer feedback and concerns about the product and usage and provide insights to our growth manager.

BE THE EXPERT AT ENGAGING CONSUMERS

  • Be a social chameleon with a sparkling personality that can approach a variety of strangers and interact naturally to develop brand loyalty.
  • Find new and creative ways of reaching consumers at the right time and collaborate with manager and team members to bring ideas to life.
  • Be able to identify future Ruckify Brand Ambassadors while out in the field and exchange contact information for hiring manager.
  • Act as a Ruckify Ambassador at all times and is excited to share Ruckify content on their personal social networking pages/websites.

Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to build a strong relationship with the Ottawa community. The position is responsible for developing social content, maintaining event schedules, scheduling posts, staying abreast of social media trends and technologies, and building and engaging our community in person. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the VP of Community Development in the development and execution of key growth strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a social media strategy for various platforms including campaign planning, community management, and reporting.
  • Manage content plans and creation for Ruckify’s media channels including Blog, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Work with creatives to develop new initiatives to engage our audiences and build our followings.
  • Engage with fans, influencers, and community on social platforms and IRL at various sub community events.
  • Moderate discussions/posts/comments and participate in dialogue with the community in various channels.
  • Execute influencer marketing strategies.
  • Relationship management with influencers and other partners.
  • Plan and manage execution of community event sponsorships.

Must Have:

  • 2 years of experience in a social media, community engagement or a related role.
  • Experience with planning and execution of social media and influencer campaigns and events.

responsibilities:

  • Build an API driven SPA based on an existing hybrid mobile app.
  • Extend the SPA features based on business requirements.
  • Generate interfaces based on wireframes and mockups provided by designer(s).
  • Report directly to the project manager.
  • Ensure a consistent experience between the SPA and mobile app by working closely with the mobile developer.
  • Work with an API developer to establish new and updated endpoints as needed.
  • Address bugs reported by QA in order of priority.
  • The essentials:
  • Experience building SPAs.
  • Javascript (ideally ES6).
  • Front-end frameworks (Angular/Typescript).
  • CSS3/HTML5 (ideally Bootstrap4 or MaterialUI, Sass or Less).
  • Experience using APIs.
  • General knowledge of SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Git.
  • The ability to communicate in English (and hopefully understand our jokes).

nice to haves:

  • Experience with Linux based servers.
  • Experience with AWS.

Minimum qualifications
